What should you do if you have forgotten your password?

If you have forgotten your password, click here. Enter your username and the email address that you used when you registered; you will automatically receive a new password sent to your e-mail address.
If you do not remember the user name, click here. However, this will work only you made your birth date known to the system.
If this did not work, e.g. if the e-mail address is no longer valid, please notify the Webmaster and include following details: name, first name, TRF program, year you took part in the program, sponsoring district, sponsoring club. Thank you.

How can I change my password?

First log in to your account using your user name and existing password. Go to the section marked My AlmaLink and click on My Profile. Directly below your photo there is a link entitled Profile Setting. In this section you will be able to change your password.

How can I update, change or delete my personal and professional details?

First log in with your user name and password. Go to the section marked My TRF-Link and click on My Profile. Directly below your photo there is a link entitled Edit Profile. Choose from the categories listed to make any desired changes to your details. Remember to confirm and save any changes made by clicking on Save Changes.

How can I contribute my reports an pictures?

Any user may post contribution in the Website-Forum an upload pictures to its user account; those pictures may be linked to the forum threads.

The following applies to all other contend:

Content may be added and edited only the districts' sub-chairs and admins on their respective district's sub-website and RFAD administrators on the RFAD-sub-website. However, all admins a very responsive if texts and/or pictures are contributed by users, and it is most likely that they will be published here.

However, some prerequisites have to be met:

Please deliver text files only (pure text, or doc-files), not PDF files. If you want to add pictures or graphics, please deliver standard format files (jpg, gif) have a size of no more than 800 px separately, but with the declaration that the deliverer has the rights to do so, i.e. the rights to make these pictures available in the web including the rights of those subjects shown on the pictures.

How can I make contact with other members?

Are you looking to reestablish contact with a friend, a former fellow student or a former colleague? There are various ways in which you can do this:

The quick route:
Click on the button Profile search and enter the details of the person for whom you are looking. If your search is successful, a message will appear underneath the photo in the profile of the person with whom you wish to make contact; two options are given either to "Add as a friend" or "Send a private message". Both of these options will allow you to establish contact with this person.

The friendship route:
In the section "My Almalink", click on the button "My Friends". By selecting "All Users" you can start a search of all members and send an invitation to make contact with a particular person or send them a personal message.

The community route:
If you are a member of a "TRF-Alumni in Germany" or belong to certain class

How is my private and personal data protected?

It is our priority to provide the highest level of data protection for all of our members. Nobody, unless registered on our website, will have any chance to see any of your data as regisered here. Especially, search engines will not find any of your date within our website.
Even after your registration the system is preset to complete privacy, meaning that no personal data will be visible to other registered users. Only you may see the data you put in during registration or data which had been imported from other sources.
After login, you may decide whether and which data you want to keep completely private, or visible to friends only, or public to other registered users. After login, you may access the respective settings by using this link.

Who can become a member of the Alumni Network?

Anyone who took part in programs of The Rotary Foundation, e.g.
- All former students of the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, including former exchange and scholarship students from countries outside Germany
- Current and former doctoral students, post-docs, researchers and visiting professors of the University
- Current students from Germany and other countries

How do I join?

In order to register for membership of the TRF Alumni Network please select and click on the button “Register” from the menu at the top-right of the screen. Complete the registration form (Link). Once your application for membership has been processed, you will receive an email with your personal login details from our administrator within a maximum of 3 days. In the password-protected members area you can add details to your personal profile, determine the access rights of others to your personal information in the “Privacy” section, search for other members and exchange information with other members in groups, forums and friendship networks.
If you would also like to join RFAD or a certain other grupu, e.g the groupestablished in your District, please select the respective club from the list on the registration form. The administrator of this club will then contact you about your membership.

What are the conditions of membership?

Registration on this page, the use of its features and participation in public events is for free.

Who really wants to become active should become member of RFAD. RFAD asks for membership dues. Since RFAD for taxation purposes is accepted as charitable, the dues may be set off. Membership dues are used for a multitude of charitable acts (see menu item RFAD).

By entering or amending the banking details, the input of an amount and saving of these data you consent to the debit of membership fees by RFAD.

What does 'Alumni' actually mean?

The term 'alumni' has Latin roots (alere = to nourish) and originally meant 'the nourished ones' or 'the pupils'. Today the term 'alumni' (singular form = alumnus) is used to describe the former students of a college, school or university; often, as is also the case of TRF alumni, the term is used in the broader sense to include (former) participants of certain educational programs

I registered on the former version of the RFAD-website already

A transfer of the personal data was possible only in part. For privacy reasons the export of login data was not possible. Please send an e-mail to the webmaster in order to obtain a preliminary password.

The preliminary password should be amended by yourself upon on your first login. The easiest way to accomplish this is to walk through the Read before use step-by-step instructions.Read before use
